Policy positions

This section will keep you up-to-date on the key issues in enterprise and innovation affecting business and employers. Each document contains a brief description of the issue and its implications for business. Where appropriate, detailed policy documents, useful links to other web sites and contact information are provided.

As part of broader Ibec's innovation policy we focus on the following areas:
    • Industry-academic collaboration;
    • Public investment in R&D;
    • R&D funding supports for companies, including grants, tax incentives and venture capital;
    • Entrepreneurship and enterprise growth;
    • R&D skills requirements;
    • Improving Ireland's engagement with EU RD&I funding and policy;
    • Trends in innovation policy (e.g. "open" innovation).
