Business Sentiment - February 2012

The Ibec business sentiment series has been conducted quarterly since February 2009. Around 400 responses are analysed in each quarterly survey, and the data collected provides valuable insight into Ibec member sentiment both on individual businesses and on the economy generally. The results for February 2012 are contained in this section.

Business Sentiment February 2012 - Sentiment

12/03/2012 - Following a sharp decline in Q4 2011, confidence in the overall environment recovered to -16 from -28. The index for the three-month outlook rose to -11 from -29. As has been the case throughout the history of the series, CEO's assessment of their own company outlook is more positive than the sentiment for the overall business environment.
