Codes of Practice
04/03/2009 - Codes of Practice are instruments drafted and put in place by Government to outline recommended practice in certain contexts. While not having force of law, they can be taken into account in the course of proceeding touching on relevant issues. Section 42 of the Industrial Relations Act, 1990 makes provisions for the preparation of draft Codes of Practice by the Labour Relations Commission for submission to the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
